Re: Record Academic Results
Great news! After analysing our year 11 PPEs (Mocks) we are proud to report that this summer our wonderful students look set to break all records. This combined with an ever-growing number of Oxbridge applications in Sixth Form, demonstrates how hard everyone has been working during this challenging period. Not only is overall student progress set to rise by an incredible half a grade on average, (a trend that is replicated through all student groups PP, Boys, HAP and SEND) but also particular gains in Science and Geography (up by half a grade and a whole grade respectively).
Our ongoing successes highlighted above is born out of significant improvements in a wide range of areas such as:
- Clarity of Vision and Values
- Academic and pastoral intervention
- Attitudes for learning and engagement
- Standards and expectations
- Teaching and Learning
Some recent highlights have been the implication of our new vertical house system of Attenborough, Bronte, Curie, Holmes and Turing. This system has given rise to a growing sense of a ‘Stanground Family’ and feeling of belonging. Our ACE curriculum offers Academic, Citizenship and Experience strands. We are particularly proud of our gains in our academic progress as depicted above and our ‘Experience’ offer, with a wide variety of clubs, enrichment and interventions. As part of our Citizenship delivery, we have a range of staff and student led groups focussed on equality, diversity and the celebration of individuality.
Everyone is embracing what it means to be a proud member of the Stanground community, and we see our STARS values of Safe, Teachable, Aspirational, Resilient and Sociable wherever we look.
